Conclusions:The number of corneocyte layers decreased with Lac-Hydrin® lotion while the opposite happened with Curel® Continuous Comfort® Fragrance Free lotion, namely a definite increase. The reduced number of corneocyte layers with Lac-Hydrin® lotion suggests a weakening of the horny layer barrier.
