Improvement of Skin Barrier after Single Application of LotionClinical tests show a single application of Curel® Extreme Care® intensive moisturizer improves the skin's natural barrier. TransEpidermal Water Loss (TEWL) was significantly decreased over the 8-hour test period. Eight hours after application, skin treated with Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer had TEWL values nearly three times lower than untreated skin.
Improvement in Skin Moisturization after Single Application of LotionSkicon Conductance Meter, which measures skin hydration, shows that Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer increases skin's moisture content by five times that of untreated skin. Improvement in Skin Moisturization with 4 Days Daily Treatment Followed by 3 Days RegressionIn a one-week clinical regression study among women with extra-dry skin, the moisturization benefits of Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer remained at a statistically significant level up to three days after treatment was discontinued. Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer provides up to five times the moisture content of untreated skin throughout the treatment and regression phases.
Improvement of Surfactant-Damaged Skin after a Single Application of LotionClinical tests show Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer is gentle and effective even on dry, irritated skin. A single application of Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer improved the natural barrier of damaged skin to an even greater extent than 1% hydrocortisone cream. Observable erythema was nearly resolved after a single, open-patch application of Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer.
