Q: Does Curel® Skincare have a 24-hour moisturizer?

A: Yes, all Curel® therapeutic moisturizers provide 24-hour moisturization.

Q: Does Curel® Skincare have a fragrance-free lotion?

A: Yes, Continuous Comfort® Fragrance Free lotion.

Q: What is Curel's® most moisturizing lotion?

A: Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer has been specially formulated to restore and prevent extra dry skin. It contains more moisturizing ingredients than other competitive advanced lotions and it combines cationic technology with an unusually high level of glycerin. This unique combination has been clinically proven to heal extra dry skin better and to provide two times more moisture than the leading advanced lotion.

Q: Are Curel® lotions hypoallergenic?

A: Continuous Comfort® Fragrance Free lotion is hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin.

Q: Are Curel® lotions safe to use on children?

A: Yes. In fact, Curel® Extreme Care® Intensive moisturizer is dermatologist tested and pediatrician tested. It is appropriate for sensitive skin and for children who have dry, itchy, or easily irritated skin.

Q: Can I use Curel® lotion on my face or will it clog my pores?

A: The Curel® skincare experts do not specifically test their products for face usage, but they are non-comedogenic and should not cause any breakouts.

Q: Why can't I get my pump to work?

A: Sometimes the cap becomes loose during shipping. To fix it, tighten the cap, then while holding it, turn the nozzle counterclockwise until it pops up. The new Curel® lotion pumps are designed for easy release and retraction to make them more convenient for traveling.

Q: Is the packaging recyclable?

A: Yes.

Q: Are Curel® lotions tested on animals?

A: No.

Q: What is the shelf life for Curel® lotions?

A: Curel® lotions have been formulated to be stable for at least three years.

Q: Are Curel® lotions toxic? My child just ate/consumed some.

A: Curel® lotions are non-toxic; however, any lotion ingested may cause some discomfort. You should always consult your physician or health care provider if your child ingests a non-edible product.

Q: Are the ingredients listed in order of concentration?

A: Yes, but below a certain percentage, the order may be mixed. Because skincare products are considered cosmetics, this is not a requirement.

Q: What is Cationic Technology?

A: Cationic technology is used in all Curel® lotions to help make the formula long lasting and wash resistant. Curel's® cationic lotions provide excellent skin benefits and a long duration of effectiveness per application due to the positive charge of the lotion which is attracted to dry skin's negative charge. This interaction gives skin the moisture it needs and where it needs it. Curel® lotions provide 24 hours of continuous moisturization to help the skin feel soft and comfortable while eliminating the symptoms of dry irritated skin.

Q: The lotion is thin and doesn't seem to be working. Is there something wrong with it?

A: The manufacturing process for Curel® lotions does result in varying thickness, however, the thickness of the lotion has nothing to do with how it works - the ingredients are always there in the right amount. Our quality control department allows a certain range for thickness so at times you will see lotion that appears thinner or thicker than other batches.
